Fundamental in all works of art from the pre-historic to modern times, mark making is about human connection.
Shaker Heights – October 31,2017. Shaker Community Gallery opens its Mark Making exhibit with a reception on November 8, 6-8pm at 3445 Warrensville Center Road in Shaker Heights.
Artists Jennifer Adams, Michael Lombardy, Christine Mauersberger and Alan Mintz are motivated and inspired by the natural world and by the accident of discovery in this final exhibit of the premier season of Shaker Community Gallery. Their unique works explore movement and express stability and strength through the use of a variety of tools and materials. The show is curated by Christine Ries.
Located in the heart of Shaker’s emerging new downtown, Shaker Community Gallery welcomes artists and art lovers to visit and engage through its regular gallery hours and at two events:
- Wednesday, November 29 at 7 pm: Spiritual Markings. Reverend Peter Faass leads a community conversation.
- Saturday, December 9 from 1- 3:30 pm: Blick Art Materials presents a fun workshop for all ages. Explore the art of mark making through use of a variety of tools and materials.
